Planet for the MySQL Community
A blog / news aggregator for the MySQL Community / Ecosystem — collecting posts from MySQL Users, Contributors, Vendors and Ecosystem Participants, and opened to MySQL Variants. This aggregator was created as an Open and Vendor-Neural alternative to Planet MySQL (controlled opaquely by Oracle). It is Open Sourced on GitHub, and maintained independently of the OurSQL Foundation by community volunteers. It welcomes posts about MariaDB, Percona, Vitess, TiDB, Hyperscalers and more (as long as their subject relates to MySQL or its Variants).
Planet MariaDB Server
The community blog aggregator for the MariaDB ecosystem — collecting posts from MariaDB Users, Contributors, Vendors and Ecosystem Participants. It is managed by the MariaDB Foundation and has historically welcome posts about MySQL. Another place to find MariaDB news is Planet for the MySQL Community, which welcomes posts about MariaDB, Percona, TiDB, Hyperscalers and more (as long as their subject relates to MySQL or its Variants).
Planet MySQL
The original but controversial MySQL blog / news aggregator — collecting posts from MySQL Users, Contributors, Vendors and Ecosystem Participants, with an editorial bias toward Oracle/MySQL. The policy of this aggregator excludes Oracle Competitors and their Employees, and it looks like there is a denylist on specific keywords (we cannot know for sure, because it is managed opaquely by Oracle). An Open, Vendor-Neural, Inclusive and Community-Friendly alternative is Planet for the MySQL Community.
