MySQL Workbench
Oracle's official graphical tool for MySQL — SQL development, visual data modeling with forward/reverse engineering, server administration, and migration from other RDBMS engines.
MySQL Workbench covers five main areas: SQL development through a built-in SQL Editor with connection management; data modeling, where it can reverse- and forward-engineer between a live database and an ER diagram and edit tables, indexes, triggers, and views through a Table Editor; server administration, including user management, backup and recovery, and a real-time performance dashboard; data migration from Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Sybase ASE, SQLite, PostgreSQL, and other RDBMSes into MySQL; and MySQL Enterprise features such as Enterprise Backup, Firewall, and Audit for supported deployments.
It fully supports MySQL server versions 5.6 and higher, ships prebuilt binaries for Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is developed by the MySQL team at Oracle. The Community edition is released under GPLv2 with additional permissions, and its source is mirrored on GitHub as snapshots of Oracle’s internal repository at each release.
