Solanica

The commercial company behind OpenEverest, the open source database platform for Kubernetes — it sells the enterprise Solanica Platform with 24/7 support, advanced observability, and paid plugins, including for MySQL.

About

Solanica is the commercial entity built by the creators of OpenEverest, an open source database platform that is a CNCF Sandbox project. Its Solanica Platform is an enterprise layer on top of OpenEverest: a control plane for running a private database-as-a-service, an internal developer platform, and AI infrastructure on your own Kubernetes clusters — on EKS, GKE, AKS, or bare metal — while your data stays inside your own perimeter. OpenEverest has plugins for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, and Solanica adds the paid side: professional 24/7 support, advanced observability, paid plugins, collaboration integrations, and an upcoming AI Data Copilot.

The platform automates the day-two work of running databases on Kubernetes: unified backup policies with point-in-time recovery, rolling upgrades with automatic rollback, scale-to-zero and TTL policies for development databases, and a Grafana and Prometheus stack that correlates Kubernetes metrics with database internals. It integrates with Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, Backstage, and Kubernetes custom resources.

In October 2026 Solanica became a Silver Sponsor of the MariaDB Foundation.
