MySQL Contributor Summit (November 2026)

A fully online, multi-track technical summit where MySQL contributors present and discuss proposals for MySQL Community Edition, tied to the MySQL roadmap and Steering Committee.

About

The MySQL Contributor Summit is a recurring technical summit, organized by the MySQL Community Team at Oracle under Heather VanCura (VP, External Standards & Community Engagement), bringing together contributors to present and discuss technical proposals for MySQL Community Edition — covering AI/vector capabilities, performance and observability, replication, extensibility, developer experience, and community process. This is the third edition of 2026 (after May in Redwood Shores and August in Broomfield, both hybrid); the November edition runs fully online to increase global accessibility. Past editions drew contributors from Oracle, AWS, Google, MariaDB Foundation, Percona, ProxySQL, Readyset, and Booking.com, with roughly 20 technical sessions submitted via an open call for proposals.
